Green-sensitive medical x-ray film KODAK MXG, recommended for application with orthochromatic, luminescent intensifying screens KODAK GREEN 400 or KODAK Lanex, represents two-sided emulsified photographic material, sensibilizated in the green subspectrum with maximum sensitivity at the wave length of 545 ± 5 nm. Distribution of spectral sensitivity of KODAK MXG x-ray film coincides with intense green light of KODAK GREEN 400 and KODAK Lanex screens, produced based on rare-earth luminophors.
The advanced technology of flat microcrystals of silver halides (KODAK T-grains) with the reduced crossover period, applied in production of emulsions of KODAK MXG x-ray film, guarantees flawless quality and high information capacity of the image.
KODAK MXG x-ray film is distinguished for high stability, maintaining its sensitometric properties, including low fog density within the whole warranty period.
KODAK MXG x-ray film has blue mylar base, painted with base density of 0.165 and thickness of 0.175 mm, which ensures high degree of transparency and brightness of radiographic images. Emulsion, protection and auxiliary layers are provided with antihalation and special technology of such layers allows chemical and photographic processing of KODAK MXG film both manually and in automatic developing machines of any type, including within accelerated cycles of 45 sec.
KODAK MXG x-ray film is applied in general radiography to make high-quality x-ray images with a short period and wide range of expositions.
For development of KODAK MXG x-ray film one may use both available compounds, such as KODAK RP X-OMAT, and new, environmentally friendly developers KODAK X-OMAT EXII, while the quality of images remains high regardless of the degree of oxidation, temperature and concentration of the developer.
When using KODAK MXG x-ray film in a dark room it is recommended to use protective lamp with red colour filter of KODAK GBX-2 type with the lamp power of not more than 25W.
KODAK MXG x-ray film is supplied in a package of 100 sheets and has the following formats: 13х18, 15х30, 15х40, 18Х43, 20х40,18х24, 24х30, 30Х40, 35Х35, 35х43 cm.
