The installations for development of x-ray images (radiograms, x-ray film) are units for manual development of x-ray film and are used as a part of photographic equipment of x-ray rooms in medical and preventive facilities and industrial defectoscopy. A peculiar feature of this type of installations is durability, ease of maintenance and low price, and for photographic laboratories with small area and load there is modification. In installations for development of radiograms (x-ray images, x-ray film) one may use any photographic chemical agents at consumer's discretion.
Each installation has a body containing 5 tanks: for development, rinse after development in flowing water, fixation, rinse after fixation (accumulated water), final rinse in flowing water. The installations are distinguished for dimensions of tanks and available equipment (developer temperature maintenance system, non-actinic lamp, x-ray view box, timers). Installations for processing of x-ray images are connected to central water supply and waste-water drainage system. Developer temperature maintenance system ensures automatic maintenance of the temperature and has extended functional and information capabilities.
In the presence of the system: - red glow indicator continuously displays real temperature of the developer correct to 0.1°С; - the user may set the automatically maintained temperature of the developer within the range from 18 to 31°С, in increments of 1°С; - continuous indication of the system status - "Heating in progress", "Temperature conforms to the set value", "Temperature is above the set value"; - there is visual and audible alarm in case of deviation of the developer temperature maintenance system from the set parameters.
The installation for development of x-ray film is made of white plastic, preventing diffusion (penetration) of chemical agents, ensuring integrity of equipment appearance in the course of long-term operation. Experience has proven that in case of moderate load of photographic laboratories of x-ray rooms the use of installations for manual processing of x-ray film together with drying cabinets is more profitable as compared to the use of developing machines, which despite all their advantages (including processing of up to 200 x-ray images per hour) are expensive, require continuous professional maintenance, provide for special requirements to the types of films and chemical agents, water quality and are characterized by increased consumption of chemical agents.
